In a rushed panic I flip through my, now (at least according to me) very slim wardrobe. My boyfriend gives me the look, the one that has an air of "are you absolutely out of your mind?"
In the move to London I didn't expect the feeling of utter panic getting used to having half of the choices I did in Stockholm. Granted, I only packed my very best. But alas, every girl will tell you that even though she has a wardrobe better stocked than Harrod's before Christmas, she will always find herself in the predicament of not having anything to wear.
Whenever I find myself in a situation of wanting to dress to impress, but not knowing what to wear, I go back to the basics. For my first day of class I was what my classmates would describe as "Scandi-chic". White men's shirt, black straight jeans, a pair of suede ankle boots, pinstripe blazer and my go-to silk scarf. Simple but effective.
So what I want to leave you with, dear reader, is the very simple tip of finding your closet go-tos. The staples that will, if seemingly a little bit boring, save any day when you wake up not knowing what to wear.
