It is an ever spinning wheel where you're always at least a season ahead, and lately we've gone overboard with the amount of specialized weeks we show during the year. The basics are still there: FW, SS, and couture. But further than that, now we have everything from resort to bridal to fill up the spaces in between. I betcha that in some way, shape or form most designer have a feeling of being rodents caught in a spinning wheel. However, the sense of fast fashion has brought me some personal joy in this season's amazing revival of 80's fashion staples (Pictured above in the over sized suit jacket, the bike-shorts and the little kitten heel) and retro inspired collections over the last couple of years.
In my personal fashion calendar it has always, and always will be, all about the autumn collections. I'm a layers kinda gal who has an undying appreciation of a nice coat and knit sweater more so than a bikini and daisy duke shorts. Whenever the summer season hits stores, I become a ghost of fashion past as I desperately cling on to my early spring wardrobe as long as humanly possible.
Above you can see the very simple ways I've styled my favourite trend of big suit jackets, both for day and night with an 80's flare.
What's your favourite season? And are you excited about the trends we see a revival of for autumn 2018?
