Do you wear sunscreen daily? If the answer is no, you should seriously consider incorporating some SPF into your routine. It might not be a Cinderella-product with an instant transformation, but over time sunscreen may be your best friend in the battle against blotchy, wrinkled skin!
My personal favourites at the moment are pictured above. Clarin's high protection (SPF 30 during the winter and SPF 50+ for the summer) sunscreen and Skin Regimen's Urban Shield SPF 30.
So why use sunscreen daily?
1) Prevents premature ageing.
When it comes to beauty it's about playing the long game. Wearing SPF daily has been proved to help prevent fine lines and wrinkles, as well as miss-pigmentation (aka brown spots).
2) Helps reduce blotchy, red skin.
The lovely rays that are adored by the masses can irritate your skin, resulting in blotchiness and eruptions of red veins. Using SPF helps to keep your skin clearer and reduces the risk of irritation.
3) Just because it's cold and cloudy doesn't mean you are protected.
Even though it might feel that way, cloudy and cold weather doesn't mean that those bad UV-rays isn't harming your skin. Even sitting inside all day doesn't protect you if you're close to a window. Most of the sun-damage seen on the skin aren't from actually tanning on the beach, but rather built up over time during your everyday life!
And that's just some of the reasons! Always wear sunscreen people, and look out for my upcoming post about what to think about when using sunscreen.
Ciao for now!
