It's the season to be jolly, but as someone who've diagnosed herself with SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) the gloomy weather brings me down. There are a couple of things to brighten my mood little by little as I try to survive the winter months.
- Friends, family and loved ones. Especially good paired with a glass of red wine.
- The biggest, coziest knit sweaters imaginable to people(see proof above)
- Tea. Lots and lots of tea. Also blankets and lazy mornings.
My personal life is following routine. One day to the next. And the next. And the next. Getting up at 6 am, by my desk around 8, work until 5 pm, and then home to sluggishly prepare dinner. Repeat. It's like one never ending personal version of Freaky Friday - the same day just with slight variations.
Having said that I want to make it perfectly clear that I'm happy. I get to write. I get to go to work at a magazine I've always admired. I'm given challenging assignments, and it's pushing me to be better.
I just wish it didn't have to end in a month.
